Remove system wide default setting for column in OBIEE

Many of them know how to set system wide default but dont know how to get rid fo this if we dont want this,cases like if we set system wide default to datatype which applies settings to all columns of same data type.

In order to remove open Catalog Manager in offline mode->system->click on metadata->On right pane we can see _datatype_formats element.

Take backup of Catalog before doing this as we are doing changes to catalog.Be careful while doing chnages.

Right-click the _datatype_formats element, select Properties and click the Edit XML button. Click Edit again to set the editor in write mode. Then carefully delete the entry and save.

Restart BI Presentation Services and check the dashboards.
